Julia Roberts new movie shoots shuts down Hindu temple

Julia Roberts new movie shoots shuts down Hindu templeAn Indian Hindu temple has reportedly been made off-limits for villagers – while Julia Roberts shoots her new movie there.

Hindu worshippers are reportedly upset that they have been refused access to the temple where they regularly pray, as Roberts, 41, shoots new film Eat, Pray, Love there.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has urged film-makers to allow villagers access to the site before and after shooting has taken place.

It is claimed devotees have been visiting the site since 1948, and Zed has said access should not be denied to locals – especially during the holy days of Navratras.

Hindus are also reportedly concerned about the authenticity of the Hollywood star’s flick and how the beliefs and traditions of Hinduism are depicted.

The film is based upon the travelling memoirs of Pushcart prize-winner Elizabeth Gilbert, and charts her self-discovery following her divorce.
